The ADT monitored system that helps protect your home against intruders, fire, flood, carbon monoxide and more can also help protect those inside the home whose health is compromised or who may be vulnerable to medical emergencies. When the ADT Companion Service Personal Emergency Response System option is added to your home security system, each monitored individual receives a personal "help button" to wear around a wrist or neck. When pressed, the wearer is immediately connected through a two-way voice intercom system to a trained ADT professional.

This person-to-person communication enables immediate assessment of the problem to ensure proper help is dispatched. In the event the wearer cannot verbally communicate, the "help button" can activate an immediate call to local responders. The system also alerts authorities if unsafe high or low temperatures are sensed in the home, particularly important for the elderly or those with compromised health. For many families, the ADT Companion Service may mean elderly family members can safely remain in their own home.
